- The techno is fun to sail, but it does require a bit more technique
to get the most out of it in windy conditions. A 6.2m is a really
small sail for the techno. I sail mine with that occaisonally when
the wind is fluky, you definitely need a smaller fin in those
conditions. I use a 38cm CR7 with "small" sails on the techno.
- What volumne is your mutant? Anything over about 120 liters is
going to be a handful in 6.2m conditions on the Penisula.
The 283 techno is a fun board, but it really works best with
sails in the 7.5m+ range. What you might look at are the
newer mutants or the smaller techno. I'd go to ASD and demo
a few boards.
