Even though there wasn't killer consistency to the winds this last year there
were many quality days to be had on the coast. I got in about 60 days which
is down about 40% of normal, but I hardly got skunked. There were many good
wave sailing days from head+ to logo and the crowd control wasn't too bad. I
had almost 90% of my days on waves and I have to rate '98 as more quality than
quantity.
Maui on the other hand had the best year.
I agree that '99 will be mighty fine! So get ready cause its just around the
bend.
In a few days we turn the corner and the days will start growing longer again.
