One for the books yesterday. I drove from Benicia to Coyote 4:45 to
6:15. the view from the San Mateo Bridge looked like stucco to an
ant! Just huge muddy foamy swell! I had to be in the Haight by 7:15
so sailing was totally out of the question until I got to Embassy to
find out my friend was done for the day. He had his 8'6"/3.7(I'm
215#) sitting on the lawn. I jumped into my wetsuit, gave him my car
keys to move my car out of traffic and probably had the happiest
adrenaline injected 20 minutes of my life by borrowing his gear. Then
I got out, changed and made it to the city for my date by 7:18. Just
     what the doctor ordered!

Yeah, great sesh @ 3rd yesterday. Probably one of the top 5 windiest
days there in a few years (for memories, the windiest day I remember
is still the day Jerome's daughter was born. That's about 5 years ago.
The gusts hit 60 that day and it was a huge ebb tide. The waves were
pounding the top of the rip-rap at the old launch... I did not go out
that day 'cause I did not feel ready back then. I hope we have another
     one of these soon)...

     I sailed 3.5/8.3 Seatrend from 4:00 to 6:30 when I started getting
tired. These 50+ gusts were certainly interesting but it was a nice
relatively steady wind for this speed. You could jump without worrying
too much about wild gusts while in the air. Joe told me that one guy
was throwing forwards and backwards left and right... my hero...

     Hope for the same today....

I sailed from 6:00 to 7:45 on a 3.2 zeta and 8'0" Rutger (195#). It was
nice to finally sail my wifes 11 lbs board. The wind was gusty but I was
fully powered to overpowered the entire time. I heard the channel was blown
out, so I enjoyed the flood chop and small rollers on the inside.

Why couldn't it of been ebbing?????
