Lately I've noticed a pattern where the dawn patrol doesn't get going til'
a bit later after dawn. So I drove to Sherman Sat am, and enjoyed a 5.0/8'6"
session, with very nice ebb rollers! It was excellent. Died out about 10:30a
and came back up about 5:00pm (with the next ebb). I was on my 5.8/8'10" in
the evening. Sailed until it was getting difficult to see the swells. Sunday
AM was marginal on my 5.8

When the coast gets the big swells/waves like this last weekend, I would
really caution against taking slalom gear out. In fact, when the waves
get over head high, I wouldn't be too emotionally attached to any equipment
you take out there ;)
