Subject: Re: Sherman Sat., Waddell Sun.?

I called the wind talker Friday evening, and Sherman was kicking at 18-29.
Got up at 5am Saturday and called, and it was a paltry 14. Did the same
thing at 6, and decided to bag it. Got a call from Bob at 9, and it was
ripping. Damn, I missed it again! Well, we drove up anyway. Sailed from 11
to 12:30, 5.9, 9'5" 200lbs, flat water with the flood. I felt better for
having sailed, but everyone was yapping, "you really missed, you should
have been here...". Hung out and the wind obligingly restarted around 4.
Sailed the same setup from 4:30 to 6:30. Very up and down at first: one reach
would be nicely powered, the next could be a slog. Later it filled in
and it was most consistent as it was getting dark. It was a lot of work,
but still a great day so I'm not going to use the wind's name in vain.

Chris
