Another nuclear day at 3rd on Thursday. COTW clocked a 31 knots around
6:00 pm. I was on a 4.2 which turned out to be perfect for the inside.
The wind picked up quite a bit 1/2 way to the channel. The great thing
about yesterday were the big steep ramps you could find right downwind
from the launch. You could use the cove to jibe and pick up speed and
take the first ramps head on. Quite a few of us were throwing 15- and
20(?)- footers right there. I personally had my first thrilling but
involuntary experience with a forward loop. Actually it was more like
a barrel roll since I was upwinded during a jump. I completed about
1 1/2 turns to ultimately land with my face encrusted in the sail.
There is a big bump there to mark my nose-which itself is starting to
look more and more like an eggplant... It was fun though...
Ended the evening at the Foster City Council for the approval of the
Foster City 9-hole golf course... But more on that later from the
officials...
Today might be a repeat of yesterday...
