David (along with other Candlestick Sat./Sun. regulars) taught me how to get
to the so called next level
(beginner to intermediate). Sometimes these words are over used but he was
"truly one of the nicest guy's I've ever met". When I showed up at
Candlestick early last year there was a group of us who basically sat around
and rapped while waiting for the wind to come up. David was always there
giving me advice, loaning me equipment, etc..

About a two month's ago we sailed at Crissy together (with a bunch of
C-stick guy's) due to no wind at the Stick. David and I ended up underneath
the bridge on 4.7's, it was absolutely perfect! We sailed for about 1.5
hours and could not even begin to describe the sensation when hitting the
shore in exhaustion. I just remember him saying how haunted he was about
sailing Crissy and later him saying "This is one of the best sailing day's
I've ever had".

I only knew Dave for a short period of time but I will miss him greatly,

Mark Kelley-
