I too rely on Ken's technology and am very appreciative.

Not to diminish Ken's excellent service, but Call of the Wind (windcall.com)
has been around for a very long time. I've been a customer for 7 or 8 years
I think. Jim Martin has been working very hard for a long time to provide a
valuable service. Unlike Ken's service that is based off of public sensors,
COTW data has required a lot of investment, and I think COTW has been forced
into alliances just to survive.

That being said, iwindsurf now zulusports is scary.

I agree so much. Ken has really provided a valuable service to the
windsurfing community for years and for free. I can't remember when I
started subscribing but it was way before windcall.com was even a glimmer in
someone's eye. Actually, when windcall.com started requiring a paid
subscription to get wind info, I got pretty upset about it and relied on
Ken's site for wind speeds.

The biggest contribution for me though, was the help and knowledge that I've
gained here. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't be windsurfing today.

Thank you Ken.

Bernie

And don't forget the http://bwr.unetix.com site which graphs
all of
Ken Poulton's data hourly. Any new weather site added by Ken
is
                picked up automatically.
It is a good alternative to iws, especially for past days
data.

It also loads fast thanks to Jonathan Hahn's hosting.
