Thank you, thank you. the beloved pager is just one piece of information, often
useless (I'll skip the "forecasts" with those silly probabilities and caveats,
thank you). If the HMB buoy says 21-25, and the steamers camera shows crushing
NW flow, but the pager says waddell is w at 15, what are you going to believe?
I'm out of the office and paying the gas money.

I've sailed 4.0 at rio when the pager said 18. The crisis field sensor is
useless for what's going on where you sail. The NWS has info about GGB, Angel
and TI that tell a better story than crissy is 5 - 35 from the W. Pretend there
isn't a pager and try to make the right call...it's fun!

I disagree. We've already been through this a number of times at a number
of sites. All it adds is more errors and more confusion.

Please don't start messing with the sensors again! Sailors, calibrate your
brains to what the sensors report, don't calibrate the sensors to what your
brain perceives!
