You might try putting some sort of rough material between the bottom of the
strap and the board. If the deck of the board is slippery there's nothing
for the strap to "grab" on to. I put some double sided tape on mine
(different board) but haven't used it yet. I'll tell you tomorrow.

To all you JP fans out there.
I recently bought (couldn't pass up the killer deal) a closeout new '99 JP
wave 265. I tried it in the bay and liked it as a good board for me (#190)
to slash around on but still be able to shlog in. Then I tried it at
Davenport with some 5.4 wind and head high+ waves. I found that the straps
which only seem to have single hole attachments moved around like noodles
and
the board felt like a suped up 80's thunderbird on a sportscar track. It
had
some liveliness to it, but not very snappy.

I think its the nature of this board to carve a litlle broader bootom turn.

I am going to try moving the back strap and the fin forward. Any
suggestions
on remedying the footstrap creep? The screw holes all seem to be in a
straight line.

TD
