I think we had about 30 people out at Crissy over the course of Super Sunday.
I got 5 hours on on the water time from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm with a half hour
out for a run to the border. It was a little cold, but nothing like the cold
northerlies from earlier in January. I sailed about 1/3 of the time with
mittens on. I (180lbs.) sailed 6.0/120 liter, 6.0/95 liter, and then 5.2/85
liter... steady winds and always powered up or overpowered until the last 1/2
hour. There were a couple of guys sailing One Designs with 7.5 sails when I
was running in for a smaller board. For the early part of the session the sea
swell that you normally find all the way up at the north tower was pushing in
all the way down to the yacht club. There was a 1/2 hour period when you could
not safely launch or land at the Saint Francis even if you know waves.
Definitely an epic day.

I heard that Bodega was 3.5. Did anyone sail there? I wonder how many winter
warriors made it out in total. If anyone sailed another site, I'd be curious
to know how many people where out?

Peter
