On a south wind, you can sail inside the harbor which is entirely
protected from the ocean waves, almost flat water. Darin & I sailed
there last winter after only a few months of windsurfing, on
longboards. We couldn't waterstart, much less jibe. It was awesome.
The only skill you really need is being able to sail up wind from the
beach (the wind is pretty much straight onshore).

There's a nice beach to launch from. Drive several blocks past the
harbor area and look to your left (toward the water).

I'm looking forward to going back there. Did anyone go Saturday
morning? Conditions seemed good apart from the rain, but I wimped
out.
