This is purely a function of how much equipment you are willing to put at
risk. The less consistent your jibes, the more time you will spend in the
impact zone, and the longer you're in the impact zone, the higher the
probability of something breaking, usually a mast. I wouldn't start at
Waddell on a big day. Also, make sure you understand wave riding etiquette!
