- I got to try out the latest addition to my safety pack
on sunday. Swim paddles. %-( !. These are brightly colored
squares of plastic with rubber bands to strap on your hands
for swimming. They are roughly 4x8 inches, light and pretty
cheap. ($5-6 bucks for the cheapo ones. ). They definitely
make swimming in much faster. I swam for about an hour at
Pt. Isabell on sunday and when I got out I was tired, but
not exhausted like I usually am. Many thanks to the Marina
Bay sailor Rick, who waited for me to get in and gave me
a ride back to my car.
