I've tried at least 6 different brands of adjustable lines and my
experience has been the same as Booker's -- they're self-adjusting.

I guess the problem is that as we sail, jump and jybe, we're severely
loading and unloading the lines. This just works the adjustment
buckles too much and the lines slip.

Lakes Bay sells adjustable lines that have won Performance Windsurf
Report's "best of" award 4 years in a row. However, I bought a set of
their old fashioned "adjust on the beach" lines (which I really like.)
I've just given up on adjustables.

But if anyone wants to give them a try, the number for Lakes Bay is
609-641-2233. Let us know if they work. :^)

P.S. Well, maybe when this latest purchase wears out, I'll give
Booker's setup a try. (Shouldn't be long, I break two or three lines
each season.)
