no school this week, so my wife is free too. we headed toward Bodega
with it's acres of kneedeep water, but only got as far as Grassi Point on
Tomales Bay, where 4-6 sailors were already out at 2pm. we began to rig
4.2 and 3.7, but that quickly changed to 3.7 and 3.3, for 140 and 130 lbs.

and 3.7 was right for me, but even so there were times I was blasted out
of the water, and times I fell in for lack of wind. it was some tough
sailing. I did better when I got off "the track" and started playing in
the swells on the north side of the point. can't help it, I'm just a
surfer at heart.
