Zeev and I got to Limantour at about 2:00. It looked great rigging up.
Then as soon as I got to the sand at about 2:30, it looked light. I
made the mistake of making a reach out only to get STUCK in no wind.
It took me a good hour to make it back to the beach.
Undoubtedly, some of my problem was using too small of a board. Does
anybody have any recommendation for a mid-size wave slalom board for a
200# guy? I am thinking of one of the new ASD Mutant boards and the
Axis 272. Any opinions?
Does anybody know if it blew much better anywhere else?
What is the rule of thumb for deciding between going to Wadell or
Tuba?
Also, is it normal for Tuba to shut down abruptly at 2:30 to 3:00?
Two other guys from Sacramento got to Tuba at about 11:30 and had a
good time at steamers.
Thanks.
Justin
