The day was looking like a no-sail day during our hike
in the morning. I checked the reports at about 12pm, and
things were pretty calm. Still, decided to drive to da
beach.
Went out on 5.2/8'8"(205#) and most of the time was well
powered. Did not beat it upwind to Tuba, did not seem
to be worth the 'work'. I stayed by the launched
and played on the new sandbar. The waves
were about knee high - ego surf.
By about 4pm the wind mellowed out, and most
people left. About 6 of us kept playing, and were
rewarded with wind and nice waves for another hour.
Sure had a great sesh.
