thurs was ok without a hood, but today, friday, was way colder.
many normally bareheaded sailors put hoods on today, myself included.

I used a 4.2 flattened to the max and a mistral ecstacy ( becuase the
slackers at ASD can't seem to get a coat of paint on the 8'2" ) and it
was just right. But my 200lb buddy rick was on a 4.2 and a 8'2 also!
and there were 3.5's and even smaller out there too. GGbridge at 4pm was
30knots. big nasty voodooo chop that gradually settled down as the ebb
eased off. power to spare.
