Bottom line: I wouldn't trust anything that the Vela customer service
representatives tell you.

(Someone asked whether I had talked to Vela about my complaints. I
replied to the list but have not received my reply back, so I am
answering again.)
I did send a letter to Vela when I returned from my trip. Its been quite
a few months, and I have not received a reply nor the normal Post-Trip-
Questionaire (which I had gotton after my previous two trips!).
