You'll notice that windsurfing knowledge is not necessary for this
position. I found that out the hard way last fall. I booked a
vacation to Aruba, and asked alot of questions of the customer service
representative. Among the questions was whether hurricanes affect
Aruba (since we would be travelling around hurricane season). The Vela
customer service representative answered that No, Aruba is not affected
by hurricanes. Well, according to everyone we talked to when we were
in Aruba, hurricanes DO AFFECT THE WEATHER (we had ZERO wind for 6
days--- and apparently the previous few weeks before we arrived---
because of hurricanes in the Carribean) although hurricanes are not a
safety threat. There were other questions that were not quite answered
correctly from a windsurfer's point of view, but were mostly correct
from a tourist's point of view.

Bottom line: I wouldn't trust anything that the Vela customer service
representatives tell you.
