I went to West Coast Marine today and they said that the license
for the VHF radios went down from $100 to $70. I think it is
still good for 10 years. I do not know if it is true or not,
but they said if you call the coast guard with a radio and do
not have a license, they will rescue you and then write you
a ticket for not having a license. The salesman also said
that the $400 models are the only ones that will last in the
water. I am glad to hear that people are having good luck with
cheaper models. I checked about this time last year and since
then, they have come out with some new models of radios that
are about 1/2 the size of the older models.

Does anyone have a sailing report for Tuesday? Was 17 to 18
enough for a good time?
