Subject: Re: Board Review: Bic Saxo 265

Hi,
I just bought the Saxo 265 a few weeks ago. I have sailed it about 5 times
at 3rd Ave. and I really like it. Everyone I have talked to who has sailed
this board either really loves it or they had a real hard time with it. I
think it does feel very different than most production boards. I love the
way it jibes. I have been on the Vivace 270 all summer which I really like
for 5.7 days or even flooding 5.0 days but it has too much volume in the
tail for the really good days. Anyway, the Saxo jibes so much easier than
the Vivace, I think due to the tucked rails. I am still getting this board
dialed in and sometimes it just doesn't feel right but most of the time it
feels really sweet. Watch out for the deck pads coming un-glued and the
twinser plugs falling out. I siliconed in the twinser plugs and reglued one
of the deck pads. Anyway, I wish I had more words of wisdom on this board
for you but I am just learning it myself. I just hope I get to use it with
my 4.2 sail a few times this summer. Good luck with it and if you learn any
secrets to it please let me know.
