It seems like I have received a limited number of formal reports of
stray golf balls in light of some of the second hand reports I get
about how serious the problem is. This creates the impression that
the problem is not too bad as bad as previously descibed and it
takes pressure off the City and the golf course to fix the problem
quickly. The last report I received before Ken's latest report was
over 5 weeks ago. If the problem is occuring with greater frequency
than Ken reports, it is important for people to report and document
the problems (send me a description, take photos, file a report with
the Course with copy to the City), both so that the City and Course
understand how serious it is, and also so that there is a strong
case if legal action is ultimately neccesary. I'm going to call the
City and the Course again and I have passed of Ken's report to both.
The last time I checked in, the negotiations betwnn the City and the
Course that should lead to both a new lease and installation of
taller nets seemed to be moving at a slow pace.

Since I live and work in Marin, it is difficult for me to get down
there to check out the conditions.

The golf course is supposed to have signs up on the ball machines
and on the stairs to the upper deck. If anyone has checked for
these, let me know when you checked and if they were or were not in
place and when you checked. Ken, let me know if you also checked
the ball machines.

The tee for the hole that drives down toward the rigging area is
supposed to have a wind sock with a sign warning that long balls
will land in a public access area. Can someone check and see if
this is infact the case? SFBA paid for a windsock which was
delivered to Course management.

Is my sign about reporting golf balls still up at the rigging area?
