5 incidents, just that I have observed, in my last 12 days at 3rd.

"Sir, we don't care.
We don't have to.
We're the phone company." -- Lilly Tomlin, on Laugh-In

+++++++++++++ Sat 17 Jul 04 - 3rd - 16/168 (192#) 3:50-5:25

6 golf balls by the corner of the parking lot.

+++++++++++++ Sat 7 Aug 04 - 3rd - 16/138 (192#) 4:20-6:00

At 6:21 two golf balls landed in the lot near my car and I called
the course. He said he "would close the upper deck".

At 7:20 +-5 minutes I got a golf ball through my left-rear side window.
At 7:40, there were 3 golfers with drivers up there. They claimed they
heard no announcement. I complained at the office and the guy at the
desk assures me that the course would pay and has me fill out a form.
He gives me the damage policy which denies they will pay.
He then makes a PA announcement for no drivers on the upper deck by
holding the phone at arm's length while I watched. I then asked the
golfers and they said they heard no announcement. Two golfers are still
using drivers up there.

I also observed that there are no signs telling anyone that there are
cars and people beyond the fences. There is only a CYA sign saying
golfers are "responsible for balls that leave the premises". There is
nothing to prohibit drivers in windy conditions. The guys at the desk
might or might not make announcements, but they sure do nothing
without a complaint and they do nothing just because the wind is up
and balls area certain to be going over.

+++++++++++++ Thu 9 Sep 04 - 3rd - 16/165 (190#) 4:00-6:00

New broken glass in the lot by the side of the golf range.
This is from a rear side window - it was tinted.

+++++++++++++ Sat 11 Sep 04 - 3rd - Rhino10,16/165 (190#) 5:00-6:00,6:15-7:00

I saw two golf balls land in the lot near the corner. I called and
the person there said he would make an announcement.

++++++++++++ Wed 16 Sep 04 - 3rd - 16/165 (189#) 5:20-6:40

I heard 3 golf balls land in 5 minutes next to the guy dressing
in the lot 50 feet away (along the side of the range). I called and
the dork at the desk said he "would see what's going on". I asked him
to make an announcement and get the drivers off the upper deck and
he said he didn't know of a policy. Then he let me talk to his
manager ... by voice mail. No signs, no policy, no training.
