I have a couple of kites for sale that are beat up and repaired multiple times.
Since learning this sport tends to involve incidents teaching you
"don't do that", often including kite damage, these would do nicely
for someone learning to kite.

For sale:

        Cabrinha CO2 11 m^2 kite [8.5 m^2 projected area] 2001 model
        rigged for 4 lines, could be changed back to 2 lines
        two rips in the main bladder sleeve, repaired
        used 19 sessions
        $100 kite + bag

        2002 Wipika 15.4 m^2 kite [11.0 m^2 projected] 2002 model
        4-line kite
        I made tears most the way across the canopy 3 times, and repaired
        it each time. Zillions of other small repairs. Repaired kite still
        flies right and repairs have never failed in ~20 sessions since.
        used 45 sessions
        $100 kite + bag

        6'0 ASD directional board, 2002 model, glass
        $50

I'll toss in a bar and lines if you buy both kites!
