There may be a chance to have windsurfing launch improvements made
at Miller Park Boat Launch near the mouth of Tomales Bay. This
could be critically important since access at both of the most
frequently used launches is in question. Is anyone familiar with
the site at Miller Park? Any ideas about improvements like a ramp
or shower that might make it better?

The vast majority of windsurfers at Tomales Bay launch out of Grassy
Point or across from the Marconi Conference Center. Both launch
sites are on private property. The owner of the Marconi site
started chasing windsurfers off last season. There are ongoing
negotiations that could ultimately lead to a public purchase of the
property but nothing is certain. As far as I know, the owner of
Grassy Point has not retricted use of that property. The National
Park Service tried to negotiate a purchase of Grassy Point, but has
been unable to reach a deal.
