Hi Rick.
If it were me, I would just go out and buy a used board with a lot of
volume. Buy a used one like a race board with at least 150 liter volume or
more. The first board will probably not be right for long. After saling for
a while and talking with other sailors you will know exactly what you want
in a board then you can shop for the right one. For used boards go to
iWind, Craig's List classified, go to all swap meets, visit the windsurfing
stores and talk to sailors at your windsurfing beach.

For wet suit, I would contact manufacturers like O'Neil, Neil Pryde, etc.
and see what sizes they have then order and make sure you can return if it
does not fit. There are also places that will make a custom suite, not sure
where but one place used to be in Santa Cruz. Patching up a suite yourself
would be my last resort unless you are an expert at this. You could do a
Yahoo or Google search. Talk to windsurfers at the beach where you will be
sailing. Go to the windsurfing stores that sell wetsuits for advise.

Good luck and welcome back.
