Hey folks,

I am trying to get people to write letters to the SF Supervisors regarding
the budget mess at SFO and the fact that they are still trying to spend
millions ona runway plan that can't fly and which would ultimately fill in
Coyote Point and environs.

I would really appreciate it if any of you have the time to write a letter to
your Supervisor if your in SF, or even to them all. Even if your not a SFer,
a letter couldn't hurt. I heard that one staffer was impressed when he got
six letters on aan issue, so we can really have an impact if we get a bunch
of people to write.

You can check out the info on writing a letter to your SF Supervisor about
the SFO issue at the Bay Vote Yes website. There are sample letter that you
can access from the Get Involved page. Right now I'm trying to line up a
speaker from NASA-Ames to brief the Supervisors on the new GPS based systems
that will allow planes to safely land using two of the existing runways
during bad weather. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm also trying to
aggregate a stack of letters to bring to meetings, so if you can fax me a
copy at (415) 454-3712, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Peter Thorner
