I'm a lake and Gorge kinda guy these days, and never got to the point
of really wanting to be in the wave zone at Waddell, but I appreciate
Bob's question, and Ed's answer:

That doesn't work, because in the real world (as opposed to the best of
all possible worlds), I don't necessarily know what the other guy's
"preferred line" is; I need a default rule (and some confidence that
the other guy knows the rule, too) to resolve uncertainty.

For all you guys (and gals) that sail in complete control and know
what you're doing, good on ya, but the rest of us need a little help
from time to time.
