I'm planning to drive to Los Barriles area (Cabo Pulmo) leaving approx. Feb 13th, returning from Cabo starting March 2nd. I've read Godsey's great website, but additional questions still arise. For example, does anyone know what portion of the route, if any, is covered for standard cell phone access? My sense is that most of that region will not be covered, but folks joining me (no experience) think I'm too pessimistic. This is relative to maintaining communication between vehicles. It seems more likely to me that an inexpensive walky-talky option is the way to go?

Secondarily, if anyone would like to consider joining the caravan, we have one van (full) and maybe a second car. I'd be glad to discuss.

Suggestions/advice welcome.

        David
