Surf has been pretty good around here, but I just got back from Maui and had
a fab surfing experience. The wind surfing was good the first week with
lightish winds and good waves, especially, BIG Monday (8'-10'+ Hawaiin). The
second week the wind shut off with a high pressure that engulfed the island
and made for glassy bitchin surf.

I find the two disciplines balance each other rather nicely. Kind of like
the yin & yang of the perfect circle.

My new favorite spot is Napili point which is AKA little Makaha. You have to
paddle out a ways to a point reef break that has big swells jack up into long
peeling waves into a bay. The paddle back out is through a channel right next
to the break, so no battling white water on the way back out. Its plenty Ono
mahn! When Honolua is going off this place works.
Aloha,
Tony D
