Dear Friend of San Francisco Bay,

With your help, Proposition "D" will add an important safeguard for
San Francisco Bay - and remember, Election Day (November 6th) is
less than 3 weeks away. Prop D will protect the Bay by requiring SF
voter approval for any SF City-sponsored Bay-fill project that would
destroy 100 acres or more of San Francisco Bay. Will you please
join us for 3 hours in the next 2 weeks to ensure that Prop D
passes? The Bay needs a decisive victory on this critical
environmental protection issue, and San Franciscans should have the
right to vote on massive Bay development projects.

There are a number of ways you can help listed below. Please spend
3 or more hours with us so we can protect the Bay from massive bay
fill projects.

PRECINCT WALKS A fun way to get out in San Francisco and walk
through a neighborhood dropping off "YES ON D" flyers at likely
voters doorsteps. It is easy, fun and makes a huge difference.
Listed below are upcoming precinct walks. More details can be seen
at http://www.bayvoteyes.org/id33.htm.

* Saturday, October 20th: Walk District 10 - Potrero Hill/Mission
We will be meeting at the home of Lena Brook, 315 Arkansas Street @
18th Street at 10 AM for coffee and donuts before heading out.

* Saturday, October 27th: District 8 - Castro and Noe Valley We
will be meeting at Mikey Tom's Market Church Street @ Day at 10 AM
for coffee and donuts before hitting the neighborhood.

* Sunday, October 28th: District 9 - Bernal Heights We will be
meeting at Stearns Consulting, 174 Ripley Street (off the Cesar
Chavez exit, 101) @ 10:30am for coffee and donuts before heading
out.

PHONE BANKS San Francisco: During the next two weeks we'll be
calling San Francisco voters from Clean Water Action's office to ask
them to vote YES ON D. Oakland: At Save The Bay's downtown Oakland
office we will be calling Save The Bay members in San Francisco to
remind them to vote YES ON D.

Please join us one or more evenings to inform voters of the
importance Proposition D plays for the future of our Bay.

* On any evening from Monday to Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 join
Clean Water Action at their office at 23 Grant Street, 3rd Floor,
just off Market in downtown SF (2 blocks from Powell BART).

* Call Save The Bay voters living in SF at Save The Bay's downtown
Oakland office any weeknight from 5:30 to 8:30. Pizza and drinks
will be provided Wednesday and Thursday evenings - snacks other

downtown Oakland (1 Block from the 19th Street BART station).

you know? that approximately 255 bird species, 120 fish species, 81
