My guess is that you're going to need to remove all except the front seats
and put boards 8' and above on their sides between the front seats. I think
even masts will have to go there as well. I think only the Grand models
will allow boards behind the front seats, and even then, it's a stretch. I
had a '95 Grand model for awhile (similar to '87 body style), and my 8'6"
had to go diagonally to fit behind the front seats. I think sails and stuff
can go behind the front seats, but you won't need a PVC rack for that.

The Grand of any model year is infinitely superior for a windsurf mobile,
but there's a few standard lengths out there. Serge (pre-'96 model, same
body style as yours, more or less), and Claude (2000 model?) at Third have
standard wheel base models.
