Hey JR
Newer vans and engines are more effiecient than that. I'm getting 18mpg on
highway in my Avalanche and 16 city as long as I'm driving fairly efficiently
and not stomping on the throttle. If 2 to 4 mpg is your main concern then by
all means stick with a light weight 4 cylinder or newer 6. The Honda is a
great van, but if you need room to fit boards and sleep, you can't beat full
size short beds for packing as much room into a relatively short vehicle.
