Hi Peter,

We talked a while back about putting a wind sensor on buoy "8"
off Coyote Point.

It's finally ready and I'll be mounting it in the next week or
so. I'd like to put the reports on the sfba.org site if that's
ok. Can you put me in touch with your web guy so we can talk
details?

The data needs to be free to the public - it's a requirement
of using Coast Guard property. SFBA, since it's a non-profit
already, makes a good choice. I also think there'll be some
interest from the big boat sailors, which may get SFBA some
props in that world.

The master plan is to run this sensor for a few months to
shake out the bugs and then build a few more to mount off
crissy field and other parts of the bay.

If it works, I'd also like the SFBA to help recoup my
investment (just parts, not labor) by soliciting donations
from boat sailors and windsurfers and/or tapping into the
coyote fund. Basically, I guess I'd like to sell the sensors
to the SFBA but I'll continue to maintain them for free.
(We don't have to deal with that for a while though, let's
see if the bloody thing works first.)

Thanks,
