Tracy,

The head broke on the thingy that accepts the thingy that wraps around the
boom and closes around the mast. It just broke it off. I was told it was
most likely my fault because I may have caught it while removing the boom
and tweaked it off. This is possible, but none of us need any thing else to
worry about, right? Also, the head material is extremely soft and is being
worn away by the line. Is that knot gonna pop through the hole? All things
that I would pay to not worry about.

The last two days I've been trying to figure how to clamp the replacement
head piece on to the boom. I've hit a wall. It's too small so I can't get
the nut and bolts to be reunited again. (much more frustrating than it
sounds and an easy resolution hasn't presented itself) regardless- I don't
see this head atriculating again.

Minor but frustrating little things that are not helping me get on the
water. Also, I would have gladdly paid $100 dollars more to not have this
worry at all. Something that Another boom may be able to offer.

I love the carbon booms, they rock. try one if you haven't already.

have a fun wknd.

Erik
