Hello wind talkies... I weigh 230 lbs and I am just now switching
to a camless sail. It seems that the sail I have requires many
times more outhaul than my cam'd race sail.

I am very concerned about the amount of preload on the boom. I
broke 6 chinook aluminum booms-all at the clamp-boom joint. I now
have a fiberspar unibody carbon boom...it is stiff and light but I
do not know if the previous owner abused it.

Please advise me about your boom's endurance and what off water care
and maintenance you do to extend it.

Regards...Kevin -----Original Message----- From : Kirk Lindstrom
