- I've been to Bird Island near Corpus Christie in June and it was
kind of hit and miss. Early spring is really the season for sailing
down there. The sound was fun with big sails, but sailing the gulf
side was not. June is peak jellyfish season, the big blue nasty ones.
Nothing like seeing a few hundred dispensers of pain to sharpen your
jibe skills. Also if you sail the gulf you will get oil drops on
your gear. If you camp be prepared for serious mosquito infestations
after dark.

- Frankly, I can't see any reason to leave the Bay Area for the Texas
coast in June, unless you are more interested in beaches than
windsurfing.
