On the rigging part,

I think you should have been running the mast through the cams as you
inserted it into the mast sleeve, rather than snapping the cam onto the mast
after. That's the way my V-8(1999) was designed to work any way.

Subject: Mast swap

I cannot believe I've done this, but I broke a Fiberspar mast bottom section
WHILE RIGGING IT. Apparently I need to revisit rigging 101. It shattered
when I snapped a 6.0 Pryde V-8 cam into place.

Anyway, I need a new bottom section or I need to trade or sell the top (or
trash it).

The mast is a 2 piece 460 Fiberspar reflex 4500, three years old, 60%
carbon. I remember reading somewhere that one of the mast manufacturers was
selling halves. Was it Fiberspar and is there any chance for me on this?

Thanks for any help.
