Subject: VHF radios

I bought the Standard 350 VHF radio for their good reputation and
especially high water submersion rating. I was sure disappointed
to find that while the NiCAD pack seals well, the Alkaline battery
pack doesn't seal properly! Fooey. I bought a new one so I could
use alkalines.

Anyway, my old radio is for sale: Apelco (now Raytheon) 510.
It works fine except it needs a new NiCAD battery, which is $70
at West Marine (in stock in Palo Alto). So I'll sell it for $10.
Waterproof bag and charger included.
