These days, a big sail is nice to have.
There is a slalom site just north of the surfers place (a park and the name
escapes me now) Natural Bridges that is supposed to be fun too.

I have Naish Noa's that are camless but fast so they would be good for light air
days. Now I have 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5 in Naish Noah's. I also just bought a North 2
cam 8.8 for very low wind days.. These sails like more wind but are camless so
jibe well.

I weight 230# and seldom go out anymore on my 5.1, 4.6 and 4.1 wave sails in the
SF Bay (usually too gusty and not fun) but I might if I were to move to the
coast as a 4.6 is a great sail size for me in Maui.

I have an older 6.5 Naish NOA that I could sell for $125 that would do you well
and I live/work in Los Altos close to CMRC...

Also, for the waves and learning... you might want to start with a used quiver
if you are new to wave sailing
