Just enough wind and sun to get me out on my big stuff (8.7/145L) at Berkeley/His Lords yesterday around 2PM. Sunshine sure beats sideways rain of last storm. However, it still was a bit brisk.

After a bit of slogging and getting used to cruising with my big gear again, I finally found the wind line about 300 yards West of His Lords, close to the pier. Enjoyed that until 4PM, as did the kayakers. Just your basic planing, jibing, and not much chop, so rather relaxing alternative to last Sunday. Most folks who launched from the docks seemed to stay too far inside or have too small rigs.

Nice early start to the "normal" conditions of SW, steady winds. Hope today repeats, but with a bit more wind of course.

        David
