Confirmed. I was working in the SF Marina yesterday, surfaced at 1:30
to find
clear skies and solid wind from shore to shore in the bay, and saw
whitecaps covering the ocean as I crossed the GG Bridge headed back to
Sausalito. I got hot for wavesailing, did some math and quickly changed
my afternoon work program.

Ran home, loaded up, picked up a neighbor sailor and we buzzed off to
the Marin coast, to a place that requires a long drive and a horrendous
hike to access the beach. We both launched on 4.7s, and managed to get
out, but we never were really powered, or even planing for long. There
were some solid and thick head high waves, with nice smooth water
between them. On my way out, the boss rock pulled me aside for a
meeting - nothing that hurt, just a reminder of who's in charge here.
After only 30 minutes in the light puffy wind I came in way downwind of
launch, very happy that the tide was high enough to help me crawl over
and around all those intertidal rocks, feeling quite refreshed.

After the killer ascent back to the van, we stopped to visit another
buddy who lives on a point overlooking the ocean, and had a sunset
cervesa - very good.
