Actually, I think they have both Whites and Tigers. In fact, there was a
fatal great white (aka white pointer in Australia) attack in on a swimmer in
Perth, WA last week....

I also wavesail the coast here - and I'd say the Aussies in WA seem to worry
a lot less about shark attacks while surfing and sailng down there than we
do here.

I think most of Australia's shark attacks occur on their southern coast.

What was the local take on sharks in the sailing areas etc. I sail here
mostly at Davenport, Waddell, and sometimes Tuba; all top leaders in the
risk
category. The difference is that they have tigers there which I think are
meaner and provide greater risk of getting munched. Did you hear of any
hits
alolng the coast?
