It seems Ken snuck an extra directory in on us...
http://www.labs.agilent.com/Ken_Poulton/wrpt.html
has moved to
http://www2.labs.agilent.com/Ken_Poulton/windsurf/wrpt.html
Went to Coyote today, after sketching my timetable before
going to work, working backwards:
5:00pm leave (guessing - correctly - what their current close is)
4:30 off the water
3:00 on the water
2:40 rig
2:20 drive
2:00 decision
Just after 2, Ken's report showed SFO at 18 knots, that sounded
like building nicely. I didn't quite make it on the water by
3, but I did get sucked out... for a very brief plane on the outbound
half of two slow reaches. I felt overdressed with my full suit,
at least until I ran out of gas slogging and actually went in the
water; it has gone cool.
Another "winter" feature - the beach seems scoured, with less mud
to wade through; the water was only a few steps from the riprap
at (a modest +2.3) low tide.
Those with better timing than me arrived 20 minutes later, or
an hour earlier. My biggest sail (5.7) would've been OK from 2-3pm.
