Hi, David, thanks for the cc...

at which the first thing I liked (among others of course) is...

"The trouble with democracy is that there
  are never enough weekday evenings"

I don't really have the time to monitor the website for details re the
meetings & workshops mentioned, but I'd suggest suggesting to PK that he
make some noise at wind_talk. I'd be very willing to show up (even
participate!) in What? Politics in Berkeley?

WT progress: Mast with sensor is/are up, wiring is now within 20 feet of the
indoor storage area. There's a new caretaker ("vice commodore"?) at the BYC
who's pretty nice, name Jerrod (?); Bill Harahan is gone. Next stumbling
block = combination padlock on the PGE meters' utility closet, for which no
one knows the 4-digit combination. I'll probably end up mangling the hasp
to get into it. BTW I adjusted the direction on the BYC-internal windvane
approximately +90 degrees in response to a complaint of 'it's reading N and
s/b WNW'; of course the response was 'that might be a bit too much',
conclusion was 'next time I'm up here with a compass...' but I'm still
planning to put their gear on our new mast (the paint looks great and will
surely help it last) so...

Sorry this is going so slowly - Coyote's been pretty good the last few days.
