Also - note that there will be a special camp set up for land sailors (with
pilots) out near the airport so that they have ready access to the open
playa.

Dear fellow boardheads

Don't let the ban on landsailing at the site discourage you from attending
BM. It is a truly amazing event. Besides, the Black Rock Desert itself is
almost the size of the SF Bay - only a square mile or so is off limits.
Sailing on the flat playa is really exhilarating (it is easy to go much
faster than the wind speed) , plus you can walk back if the wind dies :)

Burning Man is a participatory event where everyone is expected to
contribute some kind of art. People are encouraged to set up "theme camps"
- Would anyone be interested to set up a boardhead theme camp? I know
there are enough talented individuals in this group to make it quite unique!

Properly mutated rigs might be acceptable as art pieces on the site itself,
according to the rangers.
