that yesterday? >>

I sailed Waddell Tues, Wed, and further south on the coast Friday. The coast
has been on a strong blow all week. Fully flat-out on 5.0 / 8'6 / 190lbs and
Friday on 4.5 wound up. Not much in waves, but fun punching around on shore
break and a little better wind swell yesterday.
Waddell is kite turf now, but the sailors, (kiters?) (what do you call them?)
that sail @ Waddell are so good that they don't pose a problem, yet! It
reminds me of skiers and snowboarders. The tracking and kinetics, though,
are even more different and can get confusing and dangerous in the waves if
the participants aren't in control. Fortunately, Waddell is a wide open
beach and the upwind (shotguns) and down towards the point reef are good
spots for kites and not frequented that much by sailors, um boarders.
The wind should hold on the coast for a few more days.
