The problem is caused by the fact that the footstraps sit on top of the pads
rather than butting up against the edge of them like they would on a custom
board. So there are 3 sources of twist - between pad and strap, between
strap and washer, between washer and screw. The best thing I have found are
the small metal rectangular washers with small teeth on the bottom. Using
these eliminates the twist between the pad and washer (because the teeth
grip the strap firmly). The friction between the washer and screw is pretty
high, so not much of a source of twist there. This leaves the twist between
pad and strap. While my straps do still twist slightly, it is not the source
of frustration it used to be.

I have tried the plastic pieces from NSI before, but find that they are hard
on bare feet when you stand on them accidentally. The metal washers
(w/teeth) are much lower profile, so can be hidden inside the footstrap
neoprene. I got my metal washers from wbw......Don't know if ASD has them.

Chilly.

# Any suggestions on remedying the footstrap creep? The screw holes
all seem to be in a straight line.

on my jp, i found that using those anti-twist plastic pieces from NSI
seems to help. when i talked to the guys at wbw about it, where i
picked up the board, they gave me a set of flat washers that they said
eliminated the twist but i haven't tried that fix.
